Images from walks in North Wales

Carneddau

These images are of the Cwm Eigiau Horseshoe – which includes Carnedd Llywelyn – rather than of the wider Carneddau plateau.

The Horseshoe is often accessed via Cwm Eigiau, and there are terrific views down into the valley from the ridge above.

Carnedd Llywelyn is the second highest mountain in Wales. Despite being surprisingly accessible, it’s much quieter than Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) with other walkers likely to be numbered in the tens rather than the hundreds.
